I’m planning on becoming a professional rapper/singer but do I have to graduate from High School? Also, do I need good grades to become a rapper/singer. One more thing, how can I get hired to become a rapper? Do I have to rehearse or something? I want to be the Michael Jackson of Rap music one day. Please! I wanna know!
No of course not! Grades in cooking aren’t going to help you sing 
Maybe upload a few videos on youtube (I don’t know how safe this is) of you singing. I know a lot of bands have been ‘discovered’ this way.
If there are any communtiy events/ fetes etc and they want an entertainment line up, ask them if you can perform.
Keep it up and someone may walk along… you seriously never know.
On an anecdotal note, my friend was sitting with her family at Macdonalds and she was found there, they asked her if she wanted to appear in ads and now she’s on T.V all the time.
If your really desperate to start your career now, get an agent. You might get some work there.
Make sure that you are mentally ready for this. I’m 17 and I don’t think I could ever do what Miley Cyrus does now. But I suppose it’s all case dependent, only you know when you are truely ready.

I’m a 14 female singer; and I’ve been trying to belt like the lead singer of Slayer. I can do it well, but I can’t sustain it and I’m afraid that I’ll mess up my vocal chords.
I’m pretty sure to achieve the rough sound, the singer smokes and drinks but I don’t want to conform like the rest of my generation. I do not want to drink or smoke. How can I belt like him without having to smoke, and without destroying my vocal chords? And is there a secret to how I should use my diaphragm? Thanks!
go to voice lessons. I know it sounds stupid but a lot of singers do it and it helps.

Apply to be on the next American Idol, take some voice lessons, join a choir at school or church (even if you don’t go there!) – you have to learn how to sing in front of an audience. Anyone can sing at home when there’s no pressure!

I mean on definition of theatrical singer. How is theatrical singer different from TV singer? Please tell me the difference.
A theatrical singer is very…theatrical. They often over emphasize a lot because they are used to doing that and because they need to do that when performing to an audience. Their style and voice are often more classical than a normal pop or contemporary singer, or as you say, a TV singer. Theatrical singers are also more used to singing perfectly live while some pop singers only sound good because of all of the work they do in studio. Also, I think they tend to use hand gestures sometimes and give a lot of drama to their performance
